The fastest way to waste time on a digital product is to build the full version before checking whether anyone wants it. Validation is a small set of conversations and experiments that reduce uncertainty.
Start with a specific buyer
Write down who has the problem, when it appears, and what they currently use instead. If the audience is “everyone,” the offer will be difficult to explain and test.
Talk before you design
Ask potential buyers about their current workflow, the last time the problem happened, and what it cost in time, money, or frustration. Listen for behaviour rather than compliments. “That sounds useful” is weaker evidence than someone showing you their workaround or asking when they can buy.
